GO!PHA response to Eunomia study on SUP Directive

Today we publish the response of GO!PHA to the Eunomia study on the plastics definition under the Directive (EU) on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment.

PHA is a Natural Polymer that has not been chemically modified with end of life properties that only nature can design. PHAs produced via the cultivation of microorganisms possess identical structures and chemical compositions as naturally occurring PHAs. Therefore, GO!PHA, representing the PHA Industry and its downstream market participants, requests the European Commission to classify PHAs as Natural Polymers within the scope of the SUP Directive.
