GO!PHA involved in BioSinn project

When does biodegradation makes ecological sense? Are there already suitable materials for such applications? These and further questions are going to be answered within the project “BioSinn – products for which biodegradation makes sense”.

Together with the nova-Institute, the University of Stuttgart and others, GO!PHA is investigating which plastic products, even when used correctly, often end-up in the environment and nature and therefore cannot be collected for recycling or re-use. For such applications, biodegradation can be a viable end-of-life option.

From an initial long list of 80+ products 25 products will be selected. For each product it will be explained to what extent biodegradation is a feasible option and what substitutions are already available on the market.
